SUMMARY

Directs all aspects of the IT department at the plant and is responsible for maintaining the operation of all IT plant functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES       

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. 

• Provide technical assistance to computer system users. Answer questions and /or resolve computer problems for clients in person, via telephone or from a remote location.
• Provide assistance and training concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, e-mail, and operating systems.
• Provide hardware and software acquisition recommendations, including helping users assess needs and providing justification for equipment and services.
• Install, configure, and provide ongoing support for the divisional Local Area Network (LAN). Server Maintenance and Networking
• Maintain computer inventory.
• Monitor networks to ensure network availability to all users and perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
• Work with additional network support personnel and client server specialists when implementing new corporate rollouts of Hardware/Software.
• Maintaining a Avaya phone system with voicemail. This will include new user setup.
• Provide support with the corporate ERP system.
• Additional IT related tasks requested by Management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate must have experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive
• Excellent English communication skills, written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a group setting
• Strong technical and customer support experience
• Must be familiar with or have exposure to the following; PC Hardware, VMware environment, Windows 95/NT/2000/XP/Windows 7, Exchange 2003, Microsoft Outlook, working knowledge with WAN/LAN/Wi-Fi technology, Microsoft Office 2013, Microsoft Active Directory environment,
• The following experience is not required but is a plus, Microsoft SQL server, Cisco, PIX, router and switch knowledge and Intermec bar-coding equipment.
• Experience with SAP is a plus.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

An Associate’s degree or equivalent; or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  At least 3-5 years of experience within an IT related environment.
