Design Engineer - Suspension

Multimatic Technical Centre Europe (MTCE) provides engineering and product development services to F1, Formula E, IMSA/WEC, DTM and many more race teams and Automotive OEM’s around the world. It is Multimatic's Centre of Excellence for the ongoing design, development and implementation of DSSV® Damping Technology, and has established a strong continuing relationship with numerous championship winning Motorsports teams.
MTCE is also a leading contract engineering and vehicle development resource to major automotive OEMs and a growing number of niche vehicle manufacturers, engineering dampers, control arms, and entire vehicle suspension systems.
We are currently looking for Suspension Design Engineers across the Automotive and Motorsports departments.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
As a Suspension Engineer, you will be involved in the concept and development of cutting edge damping systems & suspension systems, ranging from packaging and structural requirements to the detail design, modelling and drafting of precision components. You will be involved in projects through all stages of production so should be familiar with production and development methods. Knowledge of suspension design and optimisation would be a distinct advantage as would an understanding of hydraulic systems design. The role will include the creation, sign off and release of technical drawings for components and assemblies as well as BOM creation, component validation and customer interface. Additionally, the role will require an element of mentoring of the design engineers and involvement in the successful design outcome of multiple projects.
Education and Experience:
- We are looking for a design engineer with significant industry experience - at least 5 years +
- Ability to lead multiple projects at the same time and the drive to reach challenging goals
- Engineering degree required
- A sound knowledge of NX or CATIA CAD systems.
- Experience of typical product development and part verification systems (e.g. FMEA, PPAP etc.).
