Position Overview

The Multimatic Mechanisms Group manufactures high-quality closure hardware systems for all vehicle applications. With facilities in North America and Europe, and representation in all major markets, the Multimatic Mechanisms Group is a world-class full service supplier providing stamped, profile, cast and forged hinge systems for all applications including door, hood, trunk, liftgate/decklid and sliding doors, as well as closure-checking, -assist and power devices.

Multimatic Mechanisms requires a Press Scheduler who will be responsible for scheduling all stamping production in house and at suppliers, scheduling and following up on outside suppliers, continuously maintaining and updating the production schedules, and balancing orders daily to meet customer's requirements.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Production Schedule of all stampings and Coated components including outside stampers (MRP system).
  • Responsible for maintaining and continuously updating the production schedules.
  • Responsible for planning inventory levels and achieving inventory objectives
  • Assist for cycle count of all stamping and correcting inventory variance.
  • Assist for scheduling machine downtime for preventative maintenance.
  • Act as single point of contact for Multimatic stamp and ship products
  • Responsible for planning and executing on time and accurate schedules for engineering changes and new products
  • Work closely and effectively with downstream scheduler to ensure schedules are met and problems are resolved
  • Liaise with steel release analyst to ensure coordinated supply and no downtime due to material
  • Investigate and identify schedule adherence problems and work to continuously improve schedule adherence
  • Communicate effectively with all departments and escalate problems when necessary
  • Work in a safe manner at all times.
  • Adopt and practice Kaizen Principles and Concepts.
  • Participate in Kaizen and GEAR activities.
  • Follow all general procedures where applicable as indicated in the GENERAL PROCEDURES section of the Level II Procedure manual.
  • Follow all DEPARTMENTAL GENERAL PROCEDURES as well as procedures for this position as indicated in the Level III Procedure manual.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Work in compliance and conform to QS9000, IATF16949 and ISO14001 standards

Basic Requirements:

  • 2 - 4 years’ experience in a similar role and environment
  • CPIM preferred
  • Press scheduling experience preferred
  • Must be able to interact with all levels of employees within a multicultural environment
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Must be computer literate (Word, Excel).
  • Familiar with MRP system in auto manufacturing environment preferably SAP
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.

Desirables:

  • Previous experience in an automotive environment
