Multimatic Structures & Suspension has recently expanded its manufacturing presence in the Fort Wayne, IN area. We are searching for dynamic individuals who desire to join an energetic and dedicated team that is launching a new facility with new equipment and a new product line. Specifically, we are recruiting for a Weld Analyzer for 2nd shift. See job details below.

Position Summary

Act as the principle liaison between the Quality and Manufacturing groups.  Testing of production / pre-production parts to measure conformance to  Multimatic and customer specifications. Must be self-directed and work well with minimal supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform Ultrasonic and other non-desctructive weld testing.
  • Perform Destructive Cut & Etch testing.
  • Perform Vicker Hardness Testing including; cutting, preparation and recording of data.
  • Perform Rockwell hardness testing as required.
  • Perform TYE (Tensile Yield Elongation) testing including cutting, preparation and recording of data.
  • Perform Macros weld testing including preparation and recording of data.
  • Perform spot weld pulls and recording of data.
  • Perform Quality Engineer driven testing as required.
  • Document testing procedures and results as needed.
  • Correlation/recording/reporting (3MA testing) /set-up of NDT.
  • File and maintain in-process inspection reports.
  • Assist the Quality Manager and Quality Engineer as assigned.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Basic computer skills (Excel, Office Works)
  • Basic Blueprint Reading skills (GD&T)
  • Welding & Plasma Cutting (desired)

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

A High School diploma or GED.  Minimum two (2) years general or specific experience in this field.
