We are looking for a Production Supervisor.

At Multimatic we are looking for associates that can reason, innovate, create and drive success. We want a team that is passionate about manufacturing with the latest technology and materials such as UHSS, Al, Hot forming and other composites.
The Indiana facility provides steel structural components and assemblies to a wide variety of customers and global platforms. Our core competencies are roll forming, robotics, complex assemblies, MIG, LASER welding, LASER cutting, projection/spot welding, glue/adhesive application, value added stamping, and ACCRA technology (similar to hot stamping)
The Production Supervisor manages or directs all plant activities on the shift to maintain established production requirements, carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws and, maintains good communication with other supervisors and managers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for ensuring all company policies are carried out.
Responsible to lead and assist in accident investigations and to complete accident reports within 24 hrs. of the occurrence.
Plans, assigns, and directs all production activity and associates.
Utilizes effective communication with all associates including targeted production standards and performance rates.
Lead and facilitate corrective action and continuous improvement teams.
Responsible for production associates performance reviews on an annual basis.
Responsible for coaching production associates and completing Conduct and Corrective Action reports when necessary.
Responsible for conducting shift meetings to discuss objectives and relay important information to production associates.
Responsible for the approval and management of days off requests from production associates.
Prioritizes production requirements assessing labor requirement vs. actual headcount.
Responsible for the daily approval of employee timecards and accurate completion of all attendance paperwork.
Ensures production associates are adequately trained on their jobs and trains associates when needed.
Meets daily, or as needed, with other supervisors and management staff to review all production activities.
Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA / Environmental laws and regulations for Indiana.
Proven ability to determine root causes of accidents and implement corrective actions.
Broad knowledge of health, safety, and environmental principles, practices and procedures.
Proven ability to communicate and present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form.
Proficient in the use of personal computers, internet and Microsoft Office suite of software.
Be detail-oriented and have excellent follow-through skills.
Proven ability to work as a member or a team and as a team leader.
Must possess high degree of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Technical certificate, associate degree, journeyman with two years supervisory/leadership experience, process technician with two years supervisory/leadership experience or four years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Lean manufacturing experience required. Bachelor’s/Associates degree in Business Management, Operations, Industrial Leadership a plus.
