Multimatic Structures & Suspension has recently expanded its manufacturing presence in Fort Wayne, IN. We are searching for a dynamic individual who desires to join an energetic and dedicated team that recently launched a new facility with all new equipment and a new product line.

SUMMARY

Maintain Tool Crib, assist MRO Buyer and Maintenance Manager in performing clerical, purchasing, receiving of purchase orders, and research activities. Backup for MRO Buyer if needed. May also fill in as needed for receptionist. This person will monitor the accuracy of all inventory levels utilizing the cycle count program, and resolves all errors as required.

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Parts identification & organization
  • Assist in A, B & C analysis of spare parts inventory
  • Assist in working in conjunction with maintenance, operations & finance to ensure spare parts are on-hand when needed
  • Assist in audit of production lines to develop parts list (critical)
  • Scoping of maintenance related work
  • Assist in identifying tool and equipment requirements
  • Assist in instituting, review and rationalize all PM’s and improve program to reduce downtime and improve overall maintenance costs
  • Assist in ability to lead a multi-technical team among multiple shifts and ensure open and effective communication within the department, all other departments, external contractors, and vendors
  • Entering work order data into SAP tracking software
  • Assist in scheduling and ensure timely completion of all facility and equipment work orders
  • Assist in planning, schedule and manage all shut down related activities
  • Establish and maintain a positive service oriented atmosphere and timely repair of production equipment
  • Drive productivity, safety and process improvement opportunities
  • Utilize instructions, manuals, pre-established guidelines and forms to perform the functions of the job and recommend opportunities for improvement to internal systems
  • Be flexible, capable and willing to provide assistance to tasks as department manager deems necessary 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office programs
  • Prior Clerical experience
  • Prior experience as Shipping Clerk or similar position
  • Prior SAP or inventory control system experience
  • Willing to work 3rd shift

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1-3 years experience working with Excel & Word
  • 1-3 years experience working in shipping or warehouse where organizational skills were required to maintain inventory control
