Program Manager - Multimatic Ride Dynamics

Position Overview:

Multimatic Dynamic Suspensions Spool Valve, Dampening Technology (DSSV) is a startup facility of precision high performance dampener manufacturing.

Multimatic Dynamic Suspensions is looking for a Program Manager that will be responsible for improving the competitiveness and profitability of the company by ensuring timeliness and continuous improvement in the current and future programs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Primary point of communication interface to the customer for the respective program.
  • Provide customer presentations and technical support on new product launches both within the company and at the customer.
  • Actively investigate, analyze, and present cost saving projects.
  • Investigate and stay abreast of new and emerging technologies which may enhance the profitability of the company.
  • Prepare Engineering and manufacturing feasibility and prepare quotes for new and existing programs.
  • Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research processes; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors. DFM/DFMA.
  • Responsible for all aspects of program management including prototypes, pre-production sample, production start-up, customer launch, and monitoring overall program throughout production.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience:

  • College or university degree in mechanical engineering, tool and die experience and or tool and die design.
  • 10 years’ experience in either engineering or tooling with an automotive background. Experience in automotive suspension & damper technology an asset.
  • Extensive hands on knowledge of design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA) techniques, which are used to minimize product cost through design and process improvements.
  • Knowledge in high precision manufacturing processes, experience in casting, forging, metal injection molding, elastomeric molding, etc.
  • Excellent problem solving techniques and methods.

Frequent travel and fluency in English is required.
