Multimatic Indiana – New Haven is seeking a Production Supervisor for 1st shift who will manage or direct all plant activities on the shift to maintain established production requirements for this Tier 1 automotive parts manufacturer. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Maintains good communication with other supervisors and managers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES       

  • Responsible for ensuring all company policies are carried out
  • Responsible for leading and assisting in accident investigations and to complete accident reports within 24 hrs. of the occurrence
  • Plans, assigns, and directs all production activity and associates
  • Enthusiastically motivates, teaches, coaches, mentors and inspires associates to be the best version of themselves
  • Leads and facilitates corrective action and continuous improvement teams
  • Responsible for production associates' performance reviews on an annual basis
  • Responsible for accountability of associates' performance & conducting and completing Conduct and Corrective Action reports when necessary
  • Prioritizes production requirements assessing labor requirement vs. actual headcount

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA / Environmental laws and regulations for Indiana
  • Proven ability to determine root causes of accidents and implement corrective actions
  • Proven ability to communicate and present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form
  • Proficient in the use of personal computers, internet and Microsoft Office suite of software
  • Must possess high degree of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Technical certificate, associate degree, journeyman with two years' supervisory/leadership experience, process technician with two years' supervisory/leadership experience or four years' supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Lean manufacturing experience required. Automotive supervisory responsibilities preferred.
