Position Overview:

Located in Markham, Ontario, Canada, Multimatic Niche Vehicles North America (MNVNA) is part of the Multimatic Engineering Group, and is the state-of-the-art facility responsible for building the carbon fibre Ford GT.

Multimatic Niche Vehicles North America is seeking a number of Vehicle Assembly Technicians to join the dedicated teams constructing Ford’s new GT supercar. Reporting to a Senior Assembly Technician and working within a dynamic vehicle development and engineering facility, you will contribute to the assembly, testing and quality control of the GT’s advanced components and complex subassemblies, as well as the build of complete vehicles.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Following safety procedures in an automotive assembly environment:

  • Build subassemblies following supplied drawings
  • Follow build manuals and quality control processes
  • Assemble and fit components as part of the overall vehicle assembly process
  • Fabricate templates and jigs to facilitate assembly
  • Consult on and resolve quality issues as they arise

Training will be provided as required

Education and Experience:

  • Basic understanding of automotive assembly/repair
  • Familiarity with common hand and power tools
  • Able to read and interpret drawings
  • Able to interpret basic instruction via detailed drawings/instructions
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate shift work, if required
  • Basic computer skills are required; familiarity with Microsoft Office is an asset
  • Experience in light fabrication is an asset
  • Experience in manufacturing environments in an asset
  • Experience in training co-workers is an asset
