Multimatic’s Structures & Suspension group, Multimatic Tennessee has been producing a range of automotive structural components, including instrument panel (IP) beams and rocker panel braces, since 2016.

Position Overview:

Multimatic Tennessee is seeking a Maintenance Lead Technician (3rd Shift with periodic shift rotation with 1st) to lead a team of technicians as they maintain manufacturing equipment, support all preventative maintenance programs and rspond to operations interruptions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:       

  • Coordinate with the shift production supervisor to support
  • Work with the team to Perform all preventative maintenance requirements as scheduled.
  • Assist with machine repair, change over, set up and operation as required.
  • Ability to schedule time, materials and equipment require to perform tasks, and to properly use and complete required forms.
  • Be flexible, capable and willing to provide assistance to tasks as Maintenance Manager deems necessary

Experience and skill set should include:

  • Respect for safety is a requirment
  • Work with various types of electrical controls, controllers, plant power and circuits.
  • Ability to assemble and disassemble tooling, gauges
  • Knowledge of Robotic systems and Welders. Yaskawa Robotic experience a plus.
  • PLC Alan Bradley Software.
  • Positive, service oriented attitude and a sense of urgency.
  • Process improvement opportunities as applicable.
  • Willingness to support and learn other duties such as, but not limited to, electrical, ventilation, plumbing, carpentry, lighting, welding etc.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma and 3 years’ experience preferred
  • Knowledge of robotic systems and welders. Yaskawa Robotic experience a plus
  • Ability to assemble and disassemble tooling, gauges
  • Ability to schedule time, materials and equipment required to perform tasks, and to properly use and complete required forms
  • PLC Allen Bradley Software

  • The associate may frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may occasionally be required to perform repetitive work tasks
  • The associate may need to be available during off-hours if needed and assist in emergency situations.  The associate must have the flexibility to work various shift hours and/or extended hours if needed
