AQP Project Engineer

Multimatic is a global automotive supply company providing hardware and engineering services to OEMs around the world. We are currently looking for an AQP Project Engineer to join our existing team and support the requirements of the business. You will be responsible for managing current and past programs, development projects and assisting the Program Managers in specific tasks.

Location: Unit 1, Wyatt Way, Thetford, IP24 1HB.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collects program information from customers.
  • Forms a cross functional team for new programs
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining a program time line
  • Provides quotation support for prototype and production quotes
  • Provides up-front design input for conducting manufacturing feasibilities
  • Responsible for coordinating all aspects of prototype related activities
  • Responsible for coordinating and following up on all new program Testing
  • Responsible for providing information for input into the preliminary bill of materials
  • Responsible for purchased components kick off and approval
  • Responsible for kicking off new/modified Tooling / gauges, check fixtures
  • Responsible for approval of new/modified Tooling / gauges, check fixtures
  • Approve Tooling/Line equipment for payment.
  • Coordinates packaging development with process engineering.
  • Conducts program milestone reviews and tracks open issues
  • Maintains program launch open issue list.
  • Coordinates and follows up on Process sign-off / PPAP.
  • Initiates and coordinates all new program release per the production ECN system.
  • Initiates and coordinates all engineering changes per the production ECN system.
  • Assists quality engineer in the development of the containment plan
  • Coordinates key characteristics identification activities.
  • Adopt and practice Kaizen Principles and Concepts
  • Participate in Kaizen and GEAR activities
