Accounting Manager
Location: Multimatic Michigan, Jackson, Michigan, United States
Multimatic Michigan is responsible for manufacturing fully engineered, high quality components and assemblies for high-volume vehicle manufacturers. Multimatic Michigan uses advanced proprietary manufacturing processes.
Multimatic Michigan is currently looking for an Accounting Manager who will assist the Divisional Controller in all aspects of financial/accounting related matters.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Perform and responsible for A/P, A/R accounting duties
- Perform and responsible for all types of financial analysis (ie. PPV and inventory analysis)
- Assist with month-end closing including preparing and posting accrual journal entries
- Assist with monthly financial statements and reports
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reconciliation
- Communicate with vendors, customers, and other stakeholders regarding financial matters
- Assist with weekly flash, quarterly forecast and annual budget
- Assist with annual audit package
- Additional duties as assigned
- Follow all departmental and general procedures where applicable
- Supervision of Reception/Admin. employee
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager and/or Divisional Controller
- Works in compliance with IATF16949 and ISO14001 standards
- Will work in compliance with all legislative requirements of MIOSHA
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 years bookkeeping, data entry, and invoicing experience
- Completion of a university degree or college diploma in accounting or business administration
- Excellent problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills
- Automotive industry experience is an asset
- SAP experience is an asset
- Excellent English communications skills both written and verbal.
- Self motivated and able to work with minimum supervision
- Able to successfully interact with all levels of employees in the organization
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Role will be on-site in Jackson Michigan
