Position Overview:

Multimatic Dynamic Suspensions (MDS) is among the newest of Multimatic’s North American divisions. It is a supplier of suspension parts and welded assemblies to the automotive industry, manufacturing front and rear lower control arms, links, stabilizer bars and various welded assemblies in a modern 240,000 square foot facility.

Multimatic Dynamic Suspensions is looking for a Shipper/Receiver to assist the shipping/receiving supervisor in running the department and act as departmental supervisor when required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform all tasks on time as determined by shipping and receiving supervisor, materials manager, assistant and general managers
  • Fill in all necessary forms and checklists on time as required for each task (loading forms, tow motor checklists, lot forms, certificates of compliance etc.)
  • Pick, pack, label, secure and ship all orders by routing and packaging standards to ensure on-time delivery
  • Maintain all stock location in FIFO (first-in first-out) basis at all times
  • Stage shipments for the next truck or the next day as required
  • Move material around to provide empty locations in shipping for all other departments. The intention is to make space for the material handler who brings parts from the line
  • Receive material from vendors; label, move to location & enter in to M2K
  • Write DMN report for defective parts, internal, vendors and customer return
  • Scan labels for internal purposes and customers that require scanned labels for ASN
  • Print picklist/items lot for all customer orders and check against shipping schedule
  • Strap, tape and shrink-wrap necessary packages and orders
  • Maintain due diligence in regard to environmental matters, minimize any potentially harmful accidents and work in compliance with ISO 14001
  • Load trucks with customer orders

 Basic Requirements:

  • Three years' shipping and receiving experience in the automotive industry
  • Posses a valid tow motor license
  • Basic computer experience (MRP system)
