Multimatic is a global automotive company providing hardware and engineering services to OEMs around the world.  Its newly formed Cambridge (UK) based electronics division, Multimatic Electronic Systems (MES), will meet the growing needs of our automotive customers in electronics hardware and software control.  Combining our new products with Multimatic’s existing expertise in suspension systems, vehicle dynamics, mechanisms and mechatronics will enable us to go to market with complete active suspension, active aero and powered door products to our customers in the future.

We are seeking a Programme Manager to join our growing engineering team based at Cambridge (Milton). Our Programme Management team is expanding with many new and innovative active suspension and aero, powered door and full vehicle projects. The Programme Manager role within MES is more than just a typical Programme Manager, it’s a technically focused role that integrates with engineering whilst being the voice of Multimatic to the customer. This is a unique opportunity to join us during this exciting time as we create this new Division and you will be at the heart of our new product road map.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Lead projects from Kick-off through to final delivery
  • Working with engineering to deliver projects to agreed specification
  • Manage and report on project timings
  • Be the key project interface for customers and key stakeholders
  • Take on the responsibility for change management and open issues within a project
  • Support the process team to develop and improve process and reports.
  • Accountable for the delivery of ECU’s and software to automotive standards

Ideal Experience

  • Previous experience as a Project or Programme Manager
  • Knowledge of automotive electronic architectures and technology
  • Previous experience of a customer-facing role demonstrating strong customer management
  • An understanding of financial management and budget tracking

Desirable

  • Creation of reports for timelines and budgets
  • Experience working electronics within the motorsport or automotive sectors
  • Knowledge and experience of MS Project or other project management tools
