SUMMARY

This is a Quality entry level position.  Act as an on the floor liaison between the Quality and Manufacturing groups.  Audit, enforce and train other associates on all aspects of the quality policy, procedures, inspection criteria and inspection gages.  Should be self-directed and work well with minimal supervision.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • GD&T – Must be able to read, interpret and understand blueprints.
  • Production Process – Should have a general knowledge of several production processes, how parts are produced into assemblies and how certain characteristics impact downstream customers.
  • Place non-conforming materials on hold per Non-Conforming Material Procedure.
  • Aid in disposition of suspect material and manage internal sorts/certifications of parts.
  • Assist Quality Manger and Quality Engineers collecting data for capability studies, Gage R&R’s.
  • Perform Process/Product and LPA Audits.
  • Problem solves: 1) Works with Quality, Engineering and Operations on shift to determine root cause of material on hold and make the appropriate changes to expedite disposition of material, 2) Aides in internal and customer Corrective Action activities.
  • Fill in for Quality Technicians and Weld Analyst positions when needed.
  • Must have the ability to make quality decisions on production parts when necessary.
  • Any other duties as requested or assigned by Quality Manager
