Position Overview:

Multimatic is a global automotive supply company providing hardware and engineering services to OEMs around the world. 

Multimatic Niche Volume Assembly is looking for a Quality Assurance Technician to join the team. You will manage the routine inspection and sampling of incoming parts for production process in accordance with approved procedures and specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work in dynamic production environment to achieve the businesses production targets.
  • Inspection of incoming parts and materials by confirming specifications and conducting physical inspection in accordance with drawings/procedures and internal specifications.
  • Maintain detailed records of sampling and inspection activities including release, quarantine and rejection of parts.
  • Working with other departments to plan and priorities the inspection and release of parts.
  • Take lead in the compliance of stores and logistics teams in terms of isolation of quarantine, release and rejected parts.
  • Supports and adheres to policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to established quality management systems (e.g. IATF 16949, ISO 9001).
  • Maintains working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: 

  • Experience in a quality control environment is advantageous, ideally a mechanical setting.
  • Experience in handling metrology equipment such as Verniers & Micrometers.
  • CAD/CMM based inspection experience using a Faro Arm would be highly advantageous.
  • A good standard of English is required, be able to read, write & speak English.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and desire for personal development.
  • Proactive approach to work, eye for detail and a big focus on Quality.
  • Punctual and flexible approach.
  • Strong team player with self-motivation.
