Build Technician

Location: Multimatic Niche Vehicles Europe, Coventry , United Kingdom

Scope of Position:

We are looking for Skilled and Semi-Skilled Carbon/Composite Build Technicians to join our growing Manufacturing Operations team working on some of the world’s most exciting automotive projects.

The Build Technician can be involved in all stages of Chassis and BIW assembly in our dedicated Hyper car build facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out composite vehicle Chassis and BIW assemblies and sub-assemblies by way of gluing in fixtures.
  • Ensure work is completed within the allotted time frame and to the highest level of quality
  • Fill in build logs and route cards as part of the vehicle audit process
  • Accurately mix and prepare adhesives for the bonding process
  • Carry out surface preparation and cleaning prior to bonding
  • Trim and adjust parts where necessary to achieve the required finish
  • Bond components using jigs and fixtures
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and tidy working environment always
  • Adhere to company safety, housekeeping, and discipline standards
  • Refer to CAD data or technical drawings where required to support the build process
  • Support quality, productivity, and process improvement initiatives
  • Attend Start-of-Shift briefings
  • Highlight any issues to the Operation’s Supervisor when required
  • Attend training courses and perform other duties as required

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience in chassis/BIW assembly and/or composite trimming and fitting
  • Prior experience in the automotive or motorsport sectors is desirable but not essential
  • Understanding of engineering concepts, specifications and drawings
  • Confident user of a variety of hand and power tools
  • Experience in using adhesives is beneficial
