Program Manager

Duties:
Responsible for developing, leading and delivering project plans for new proposals and existing projects through liaisons of cross-functional departments leaders; supervise overall software development for new and existing projects like controllers for Active Suspension and Power Door systems; oversee resource planning; ensure resources are available to support project activities; liaise with functional areas to ensure replacements are provided if necessary; responsible for risk planning throughout project; play a key role in anticipating, escalating and mitigating potential risk; responsible for project timing within overall program plan; track progress changes and develop recovery plans when necessary; track and control project spend within allocated budget using forecasting tools; ensure achievement and quality of project deliverables at program milestones, and facilitate customer sign-off at gateway stages; collate and deliver progress status reports; act as the external customer liaison and reporting for stand-alone projects; involved in DFMEA, DVP&R, FEA, product drawings, identification of key characteristics, and design review processes including gates and milestones; utilize MATLAB, Simulink, CANape, CANalyzer, Ford DET, MoTeC, JIRA, MS Project, CANCases, and oscilloscope operation to perform duties; assist with software development, Model-in-Loop (MIL) testing, debugging issues, verification of implementation of system and software level functional requirements and safety requirements; support with analyzing and validating performance of products with in-vehicle testing; consult on and resolve quality issues as they arise; interface/interact with internal stakeholders (testing, design, analysis, prototype) to ensure project deliverables are on track and progressing in a timely manner; maintain open communication with various interacting departments including other divisions of Multimatic, as necessary; report on program status and identify critical issues; act as primary point of communication interface with the customer for the respective program; and develop resource plans to support new projects to enable flawless/successful product development.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
Training: None

Experience: Two (2) years in the position above, as a Control Systems Engineer, as a System Simulation Engineer, or in a related occupation;

Other Requirements: Experience must include two (2) years’ use of all the following: MATLAB, Simulink, CANape, CANalyzer, Ford DET, MoTeC, JIRA, MS Project, CANCases, and oscilloscope operation.

Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
Location: Novi, MI and multiple undetermined locations throughout the US;
