Position Overview:

Multimatic is a global automotive supply company providing hardware and engineering services to OEMs around the world. 

Multimatic Niche Volume Assembly is looking for a Production Technician to work in the production area and prepare and assemble parts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work within a highly dynamic team to deliver world class customer service
  • Once trained tasks include, but are not limited to:
    • Coordinating shipping times with freight forwarders
    • Producing and supplying Delivery Notes
    • Communicating with freight forwarders providing weights and dimensions
    • Communicating with suppliers and arranging parts collection times
    • Update Excel worksheets and producing shipping overviews
  • Supporting the project team to communicate and provide up to date and accurate picking lists, shipping overview and operational updates to the stores and logistics teams.
  • Support stock control by alerting when inventory drops below set levels
  • Adopts and practices 5S principles and concepts, participates in continuous improvement and GEAR activities.
  • Supports and adheres to policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to established quality management systems (e.g. IATF 16949, ISO 9001).
  • Maintains working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  •  Experience in a dynamic project environment is advantageous but not essential.
  • High level of communication skills required to communicate effectively to all levels of the business.
  • Comprehensive Excel experience is essential and SAP experience is an advantage.
  • A good standard of English is required.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and desire for personal development.
  • Proactive approach to work, eye for detail and a big focus on quality.
  • Punctual and flexible approach.
  • Strong team player with self motivation.
