The Position

We are looking to fill the role of Traffic Administrator who will ensure smooth and timely delivery of product to customers which will enhance customer satisfaction. The candidate must have a good work ethic, positive attitude, and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities and Authorities:

Use ERP system, Customer Portals for traffic functions.

  • Participate in rotating coverage for Weekends, Holidays, After Hours and Expedites.
  • Cross training and back up coverage for absences and vacations.
  • Accountable for Receiving and Processing Customer Releases through EDI, fax and email.
  • Customer Order Discrepancies including Cumulative.
  • Responsible for Shipping Schedules by Customer.
  • Communication with Supervisor and customer regarding potential/actual Short Shipments.
  • Prepare accurate and timely Invoicing / Paperwork.
  • Enter Customer Orders/Spot PO’s
  • Responsible for accurate Cumulative Totals and reconciling differences.
  • Make on time Advanced Shipping Notices (A.S.N.s).
  • Create accurate Bar Code Labels/ Information and obtaining customer approval.
  • Make on time and accurate response to on-line Inventory Systems (Ford ‑D.D.L.).
  • Follow accurately the Filing Protocol.
  • Ensure Receiving Advices are received from Customer.
  • Make sure supply and tracking of Returnable Containers as well as inventory accuracy.
  • Maintaining the accuracy of Customer systems (Portals) for tracking returnable containers.
  • Create Voiding Invoices.
  • Accurately complete the Communication Log.
  • Responsible for Forecasting ‑ (Customer)
  • Monitor changes and communicate any customer demand changes.
  • Research and resolve customer concerns, acting as liaison between customer and Multimatic.
  • Process accurate Customs Documentation including Certs, NAFTA paperwork, Import/Export paperwork
  • In charge of Mailing Invoices.
  • Make Payment Advices.
  • Create E.D.I. Invoices (810 transaction).
  • Understand and follow Customer Standards.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times.
  • Adopt and practice Kaizen Principles and Concepts.
  • Participate in Kaizen and GEAR activities.
  • Follow company and departmental Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions as written and updated from time to time.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Work in compliance and conform to IATF 16949 and ISO14001 standards.

 Basic Requirements and Competencies:

  • Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • One year of relevant experience in automotive customer service at Tier 1 level excellent knowledge of computers and computer software Windows, Outlook, Excel, SAP).
  • Ability to successfully interact with customers, customs, and freight companies etc.
  • Knowledge of NAFTA, Custom laws and regulations.
  • Good clerical and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of AIAG standards.
  • Knowledge of EDI systems.
  • Ability to successfully interact with all levels of employees in a multicultural environment.
