Programme Quality Engineer

If you are a skilled and pro-active Quality Professional, we are looking for you to join our Quality team as Programme Quality Engineer. Reporting directly into the Quality Manager, your role will involve management and resolution of all quality issues arising on current and future programmes at MNVE. The role will include working closely with customers, suppliers, Inspection and STA personnel within the quality department and also assisting production and engineering departments to identify and resolve issues found during N.P.I., build and validation activities.

You’ll never have a boring day, as you work on delivering some of the world’s most exciting automotive programmes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a conduit for all quality issues identified in build, inspection and customer sign off activities
  • Management of the internal and external NCM process
  • Manage the disposition of non-conforming product
  • Work cross functionally to collaboratively achieve customer standards


Skills:

  • Ability to communicate at all levels within the business (including reporting to customer senior management teams)
  • Demonstrable understanding of 8D / PPS methodology
  • Ability to manage containment / plant sweep activities at customer, MNVE & supplier locations
  • Understanding and experience of managing PPAP / PSW process (including IMDS submissions)
  • Detailed understanding of a variety of measurement and inspection processes, methodologies and equipment (Faro, CMM)
  • Knowledge of paint quality standards, inspection methods and equipment
  • Ability to use interpret 3D CAD models and drawings
  • Understanding of Health and Safety practices
  • Strong IT skills (MS office suite) and ability to present data effectively
  • Previous experience with Polyworks and JT2Go software packages would be beneficial
  • Experience of performing product and system audits (ISO / VDA certification preferable)

Experience Levels:

  • Substantial experience in a low volume manufacturing environment, preferably automotive
  • Experience within a Quality Engineering role
  • Experience of dealing with customers and suppliers
  • Experience of working with Carbon Fibre panels (body in black, visual parts)
  • Experience of working within an ISO9001 certified business
