The Position

We are looking for an Industrial Millwright to join our team. The successful candidate will report to the Maintenance Manager be responsible for ensuring our automotive manufacturing facility has safe, well-maintained equipment to meet production requirements .

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Performs duties of millwright as required including the repair and troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems and tools.
  • Provides trouble-shooting assistance to other maintenance personnel with regard to electrical, PLC programming or other maintenance related needs as required, modifying a line program and die wiring.
  • Responsible for completion of necessary paperwork including work orders/time sheets/log board entries/line book revisions as required in a timely manner.
  • Assisting in the implementation of continuous improvement suggestions on the production line.
  • Filling out parts used form No.PU021.
  • Performing routing preventive maintenance as required.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean tidy and organized work area.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times.
  • Adopt and practice Kaizen Principles and Concepts.
  • Participate in Kaizen and GEAR activities.
  • Follow all general procedures where applicable as indicated in the General Procedures section of the level III Procedure manual.
  • Follow All Departmental General Procedures as well as procedures for this position as indicated in the level III Procedure manual.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Work in compliance and conform to ISO9001, TS16949 and ISO14001 standards.

 

Requirements

  • Licensed Millwright/Industrial Mechanic
  • At least 5 years of experience working with industrial equipment such as heavy stamping presses, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, automation / robotics, and with troubleshooting PLC programming
  • Solid skills in machine-shop and MIG/TIG welding 
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing requirements
  • Ability to interact with all levels of employees in a multicultural organization
