First Line IT Technician

Multimatic Technical Centre Europe (MTCE) provides engineering and product development services to F1, Formula E, IMSA/WEC, DTM and many more race teams and Automotive OEM’s around the world. It is Multimatic' s Centre of Excellence for the ongoing design, development and implementation of DSSV® Damping Technology, and has established a strong continuing relationship with numerous champion ship winning Motorsports teams.

MTCE is also a leading contract engineering and vehicle development resource to major automotive OEMs and a growing number of niche vehicle manufacturers, engineering dampers, control arms, and entire vehicle suspension systems.

We are looking to hire a First Line IT Technician to join our busy and exciting IT department here at MTCE. Your role will be to assist with first line IT support to the MTCE division in line with the Multimatic corporate IT strategy.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Take ownership and troubleshoot desktop and server problems, diagnose and solve hardware/software incidents or problems.
  2. Incident and problem management.
  3. Provide exceptional service support to the business.
  4. Contribute to policies, processes and procedures.
  5. Prioritising and managing several open cases and mini projects at one time.
  6. Oversee Avaya telephone system.
  7. Oversee printing systems including paper jams and tonor replacement.
  8. Add and maintain users via Active Directory and Exchange Admin Center
  9. Ensure network based data is kept secure and access is restricted accordingly.
  10. Provide guidance and assistance to co-workers as required.
  11. Supporting users on both software and hardware applications.
  12. Manage Starter/Leaver process from an IT perspective.
  13. Update and maintain clock card system.
  14. Update and maintain door access system.
  15. Provide some on-site support at other locations within a one mile radius of head office.
  16. Help maintain and manage the hardware replacement process.
  17. Interest in continuous learning in technical support and products.
  18. Ability to improve a process were applicable.
  19. Maintains working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.
  20. Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  1. Experience in Windows 10 Pro.
  2. Experience in Microsoft 365.
  3. Confident with good interpersonal skills.
  4. Good motivation and flexibility to ensure the smooth running of all systems, including the possibility of working early, late, through the lunchtime period or at weekends, with adequate notice.
  5. Ability to work well individually as well as within a team.
