Composite Chassis and Body Panel Fit Technicians

Multimatic Niche Vehicles Assembly Europe is seeking a number of Composite Technicians to be part of a core group that will fabricate and assemble the supercars. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who desires hands-on experience with high performance vehicles, advanced composites, the latest in automotive technology, and has a passionate interest in automobiles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Must be organized and work in a safe manner, following all safety procedures in an automotive assembly environment
- Building sub-assemblies following supplied manuals
- Trim and adjust parts where necessary to achieve the required finish
- Accurately mix and prepare adhesives for the bonding process
- Carry out surface preparation and cleaning prior to bonding
- Structural bonding of major composite components
- Meticulously following build manuals and quality control processes
- Fitting and assembly of carbon fibre components to tight tolerances
- Identifying quality issues as they arise
- Refer to CAD data or technical drawings where required to support the build process
- Problem solving, as necessary
- Adhering to Multimatic’s quality-focused attitude and work culture
- Maintain a safe, clean and tidy working environment at all times
- Adhere to company safety, house-keeping and discipline standards
- Support quality, productivity and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience in chassis/BIW assembly and/or composite trimming and fitting
- Experience in light fabrication is an asset
- Prior experience in the automotive or motorsport sectors is desirable but not essential
- Understanding of engineering concepts, specifications and drawings
- Confident user of a variety of hand and power tools
- Experience in using adhesives is beneficial
