Human Resources Generalist - Sales & Marketing

Position Summary:

Reporting to the location Human Resources Manager, this role will support the Sales & Marketing organization by competently delivering HR services and solutions while upholding a focus on the building of high performance teams and reinforcing Multimatic’s culture. They will be viewed as a human resources leader in recruitment, employee relations, learning and development, regulatory compliance, HR information management and day to day people administration.


What you'll do & how you'll add value: 

  • Working with departments to proactively identify talent needs and to manage the associated recruitment and onboarding process (recruitment is a significant priority in this role)
  • Build strategic talent pipeline through various avenues including relationships with universities/colleges, identification of preferred search partners, employee referral programs and targeted recruitment approaches
  • Help to progress administrative standard practices that improves efficiency
  • Provide advice and support to client groups to serve day-to-day issues (such as compensation administration, immigration/employee mobility, employee change requests, information analysis and organizational change management support)
  • Coach management and employees in the successful resolution of issues and conflicts.
  • Maintain knowledge of current best practices and trends in human resources, including relevant legislation and industry best-practices to ensure risk is managed/mitigated
  • Strong ability to offer tangible, pragmatic business solutions

Qualifications for the role:  

  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources Management or similar applicable focus of study
  • Minimum 7 years’ HR business partner experience, with well-developed business acumen
  • Ability to build trust, follows through, ensures people feel heard, acts with integrity
  • Experience in the automotive industry is a strong asset; preferably in a mix of industrial and corporate environments
  • High energy and self-motivated; confident leading change
  • Strong knowledge and experience in all areas of human resources policies, practices processes, and legislation
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and address complex employee and policy issues
  • Early adopter of technology, process enhancements and demonstrated agility in both day to day problem solving and professional delivery and development of HR programs
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer proficiency with high level of competence in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong project management and presentation skills
  • Hands-on experience working in a global organization that operates in multiple countries is preferred
