Application Developer, Microsoft Power Platform

Overview
Multimatic is a privately held, global enterprise supplying engineered components, systems and services to the automotive industry. The company’s core competencies include the development and manufacture of complex mechanisms and body hardware, suspension systems and body structural components as well as the design, engineering and development of light weight composite automotive systems.
The Application Developer, Microsoft Power Platform is responsible for the development, deployment, and support of Power Platform solutions within Multimatic’s Microsoft environments. These Power Platform solutions include business processes that are critical to the various business units at Multimatic. This position will be responsible for ensuring that best practices are implemented within the developed Power Platform solutions. The individual will provide oversight and guidance to ensure the proper implementation, training, support and efficient leverage of Microsoft Power Platform products in accordance with best practices. Responsibilities could change as the needs of the department evolve.
Essential Duties and Job Functions
- Design and develop Power Platform applications and solutions (Power Automate (Flow), Power Apps, Power BI, SharePoint Online) based on industry best practices
- Drive Power Platform implementations through all project phases including discover, definition, build, test, and deploy
- Automate business process by developing and delivering Power Platform based solutions as per customer specific requirements.
- Design frameworks and reusable components for enterprise adoption of the Power Platform.
- Provide technical advice to users and team members on best practices for Power Platform development
- Experience with API or services integrations and a firm understanding of implementing solutions with multiple data sources
- Understanding of best practices for application security
- Develop and maintain project documentation such as business requirement documents, process flows, presentations, etc…
- Conduct end-user training upon solution launch
- Present tailored demonstrations of the Platform solution through regular customer meetings
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant experience
- 3+ years of Power platform development experience
- Advanced knowledge of MS Power Platform, PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Sharepoint, MySQL or similar relational database
- Experience in analysis, design development, testing and implementation of enterprise scale apps
- Collaborative team player with strong communication and facilitation skills who can build strong relationships to solve problems
- An eye for UX design
- Knowledge of software development principles and lifecycle
- Outcome-focused, critical thinker with the ability to analyze and solve complex problems
- Passionate forward thinking results oriented individual contributor with exceptional operational discipline
- Technologies: Power Platform, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Azure, PowerShell, Dataverse, MySQL
- Programming/Scripting Languages(an asset): Java, C++, VB.NET, Python…
- Preferred Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Power Platform. Fundamentals
