Material Controller

We are looking for a Material Controller to help ensure the adequate running of daily functions and supporting the business as a whole. Daily tasks and responsibilities are shared amongst the team and all members work to support each other with their tasks, as well as support members in other departments by ensuring their projects and requirements are reaching given targets. Must be able to work as a part of team in a fast paced and pressured environment, communicating effectively with both colleagues and clients and following verbal and written instructions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  Audit and checking stock locations to help ensure parts are available to pick on a weekly basis.
  • Book in material receipts at time of delivery ensuring internal inventory availability reports are up to date.
  • Work closely with Purchasing to resolve any Inventory related issues.
  • Carry out Annual stock counts and review inventory accuracy reports and PI counts.
  • Raise all business purchase orders and send for approval and to suppliers.
  • Receive deliveries from couriers ensuring box count and paperwork match accordingly.
  • Operate Laser Engraving machine. (training provided).
  • Able to read technical drawings and fill out the route cards.
  • Update and save new Laser Etching programmes, for new parts coming through the Factory.
  • Work closely with the accounts team to quickly solve invoice queries and provide relevant back up.
  • Maintains working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  1. 2 years of experience in warehouse / stores area.
  2. GCSE or equivalent
  3. Basic knowledge of MS Windows
  4. Ability to read, write and speak English
  5. Counterbalance Fork lift licence beneficial
