Position summary:

Multimatic is a global automotive supply company providing hardware and engineering services to OEMs around the world. To coordinate a multitude of varying projects through to completion working with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the clients requirements are delivered on time and to the required quality expectations.  Working closely with the product engineering team, the candidate will be required to coordinate the transition of components from design release through to delivery to the end customer, including the maintenance of a project BOM, and the implementation of change management.

Essential duties & responsibilities:

  1. Create and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) for traceability of components towards successful project completion
  2. Monitor and communicate customer delivery requirements to purchasing and production
  3. Ensure effective and efficient stock control for production and delivery requirements
  4. Participate in production meetings reporting on deficiencies and actions
  5. Organize and track process and product change management
  6. Work with the purchasing team to purchase goods, materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets
  7. Support the purchasing function and other relevant departments and communicate any supply problems which may impact on the project
  8. Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant engineering and program departments
  9. Identify and evaluate supply chain risk whilst developing robust risk mitigation strategies where necessary
  10. Prepare reports and updates as and when required
  11. Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures during supplier negotiations and contracts award process

Qualifications & experience:

  1. 1 year working in a project management or procurement environment within the automotive motorsport sector
  2. ONC, A Levels, City & Guilds Level 3, BTec National Diploma Level 3 or equivalent NVQ level 3 qualification
  3. Knowledge of purchasing, negotiation, commercial understanding and cost breakdown
  4. Computer literate, with advanced Excel skills/abilities
