Position Overview:

Multimatic Special Vehicle Operations

Established in 2020, Multimatic Special Vehicle Operations (MSVO) is focused on high-performance
niche vehicle development and Multimatic’s motorsports programs. MSVO is responsible for vehicle development programs such as those undertaken for the Ford GT, Mazda DPi, Mustang GT4 and all race team operations. Additionally, low volume vehicle body/chassis manufacture and low volume component supply are also incorporated within MSVO. MSVO is seeking to build on the elite group of Motorsports Mechanics who will be part of a core team working on assembly of various existing and upcoming race car projects. Reporting to the Motorsports Manager, and working within an exciting and dynamic vehicle development and engineering
organization, you will be part of the team responsible for the assembly, testing and repair of advanced components, complex sub-assemblies, electrical subsystems and the build of complete vehicles. This is a unique opportunity for anyone who excels at hands-on problem solving with high performance vehicles, advanced composites and the latest in automotive technology, and has a passionate interest in automobiles and motorsports.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Working in a safe manner, following safety procedures in a vehicle assembly environment
• Building sub-assemblies following supplied drawings
• Following build manuals and quality control processes
• Assembling and fitting components to prototype and niche vehicles
• Troubleshooting electrical wiring harness, connector and sensor issues
• Consulting on and resolving quality issues as they arise
• Problem solving
• Training is provided as required

Education and Experience:
• Experience with automotive assembly/repair essential
• Experience in automotive electrical troubleshooting
• Comfortable using common hand tools and power tools
• Able to read and interpret drawings and follow build instructions
• Able to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment; meet tight deadlines
• Day shift with schedule flexibility to accommodate occasional overtime and some weekend hours
• Basic computer skills are required, familiarity with Microsoft Office is an asset
• Experience in light fabrication is an asset
• Experience in manufacturing environments in an asset
• Must be willing and able to travel both domestically and abroad from time to time
• Priority to Ontario 310S Endorsement applicants
