Mould Prep Technician

Position Overview:
Continuous improvement is at the core of MCFT’s values and due to increasing demand from our customers we now require an individual to carry out the important task of preparing moulds. This role requires an organised and methodical approach and is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable knowledge which could lead to future development and progression within MCFT.

Key responsibilities:
- Assist with loading and unloading the Autoclaves
- Remove vacuum bag consumables from the moulds/components
- Drill off components as per the company procedure
- Unbolt mould tools and remove components from the mould
- Make parts hand safe and deliver to inspection
- Deflash and re-release the mould tools in preparation for laminating
- Sharpen drill bits and report any damaged or worn moulds/tooling
- Keep the Mould Prep area tidy and organised
Basic requirements:
- Good organisation and time management skills
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions
- Reliable team member
- Self-motivated to achieve deadlines
Desirables:
- Strong communication skills.
- Demonstrate a willingness to take on other composite related tasks as required.
