Position Overview:
Multimatic is a global automotive supply company providing hardware and engineering services to OEMs around the world. Its UK-based engineering division, Multimatic Technical Centre Europe (MTCE), is a leading supplier of engineering and vehicle development services to major automotive OEMs, motorsport organizations and a growing number of niche vehicle manufacturers. Specialties include suspension systems, vehicle dynamics, carbon fibre structural components, mechanisms and mechatronics.
MTCE is currently seeking to recruit a Structures Engineer with a range of skills to join the growing team delivering OEM, motorsport and niche vehicle projects within Multimatic.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
As a Structures Engineer you will be responsible for carrying out all phases of assigned analysis projects. This will involve finite element modelling, results review, hand calculations, report preparation and presentation to support our divisions and outside customers. The engineer will work closely with other members of the team, including other analysis engineers, design engineers, manufacturing personnel and customers. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of analysis projects, from OEM components and mechanisms (ABAQUS, Optistruct) through to full vehicle structural analyses (ABAQUS, LS-Dyna) and vehicle dynamics (ADAMS).
Education and Experience:
If you have experience in a similar or related position within the automotive industry, an Engineering Degree and the drive to reach challenging goals, this position should interest you. It is expected that candidates will have worked with an analysis package (preferably HyperWorks, Abaqus, Matlab or ADAMS). Candidates should be able to demonstrate a strong engineering aptitude and problem solving skills.
