SUMMARY
Directs and coordinates Customer service activities for all communications with the suppliers, electronic, written and verbal. Responsible for providing internal procurement resources while developing and maintaining a secure, responsive and reliable supply base that is capable of meeting future business needs that translate into quality, delivery, cost and technology. This position is the primary supplier contact regarding quotes, sourcing and commercial activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Attend RFQ team meetings to discuss and determine the purchased products or services required to enable the company to supply the required product.
- Obtain any required drawings specifications or descriptions to enable potential vendors to submit accurate quotations.
- Identify appropriate potential vendors for required components or services.
- Generates vendor request for quotation (RFQ’s) with input from APQP.
- Follow-up and communicate with vendors to ensure quote replies are received to drawing and specification and in time to meet the quote deadline.
- Analyze and compile quote summary as quotes are received and provide to AQP department.
- Generate and submit customer material resale forms
- Proactively seek new supply base.
- Analyze and review market trends
- Provide raw material cost updates when required and requested.
- Monitors supplier performance as measured by delivery, price and quality
- Demonstrate a commitment toward continuous improvements with the aim towards expanding procurement functions by adding cost savings and adding value.
- Create and maintain PO’s to supply base for production, tooling and capital expenses.
- Accesses and monitors customers material tracking and rating programs when required
- Responsible for ensuring that the sales order entry functions are performed
- Responsible for ensuring that all raw material and purchased parts are requisitioned and delivery dates are established
- Support SSG Group Office activities regarding reporting, predicting materials requirements for future projects and production processes.
- Participate in Kaizen and GEAR activities.
QUALIFICATIONS

- SAP
- Customer Portals.
- Customer Resale Programs (ORCID / ERMA ete.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written, verbal and analytical communication.
- Ability to work with multiple division, suppliers and internal departments and leadership to coordinate activities to perform the job function.
- Prioritize tasks, keeping all projects moving forward on-time while achieving core responsibilities completion on time.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum 4-6 years’ experience related to purchasing and technical background. Broad understanding of machining, stamping and processing methods and procedures. Must possess a competent ability to read and understand engineering drawings. Excellent problem solving techniques required. Prefer a minimum of an Associate’s Degree
