Production Manager
The Role
Responsibilities will include oversight of production activities, reducing costs, maximizing output, reducing waste and ensuring that products are produced on time and are of good quality. Manage, develop and optimise the manufacturing team - 28 direct reports, resources and assets to meet planning schedule whilst assuring quality standards and safe process.
Maintain a full awareness on productivity aligned to the schedule, real time problem solving combined with a pro-active assessment of future runs and communicating potential blockages.
Manage complement levels to meet close schedule requirements.
Optimise Quality, Health, Safety, Environmental and discipline standards for reports. Lead the continuous improvement in these areas.
Develop programmes to increase skill flexibility.
Mentor and develop the team leaders
The Candidate
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years management experience within Automotive. Composite knowledge an advantage
They will be able to demonstrate leadership qualities, good communication skills, verbal and written.
Have a proven track record of delivering improvements in manufacturing efficiencies including reducing downtime, reducing waste and improving throughput. Through continuous improvement programmes.
Ideally qualified to degree level in Engineering, Science or Management,
