Position Overview: Located in Markham, Ontario, Canada, Multimatic Niche Vehicles North America (MNVNA) is the exclusive production facility of the Ford GT supercar.

Multimatic Niche Vehicles North America is seeking a knowledgeable, self-directed, experienced and hardworking individual interested in the automotive industry as a Materials/Project Coordinator. Reporting to the Materials Manager in an exciting and fast pace vehicle production facility.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow all established safety procedures
  • Coordinate efforts within the Materials department relative to material flow systems, with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Ensure internal and external customer orders are met
  • Create plans, forecasts and schedules relating to materials required to meet operational requirements
  • Review ways to save money and maintain consistency in material quality
  • Monitor variances and recommend process improvements
  • Review daily demand and communicate changes to appropriate departments
  • Participate in regular planning reviews and prepare data in line with changes
  • Monitor data input to any Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system or IT system for accuracy and resolve any issues as required
  • Ensure an accurate inventory through cycle counting program
  • Review data integrity for the Bill of Materials (BOM), evaluate usage in relation to actual build
  • Assist with physical inventory and other assigned warehouse functions
  • Monitor inventory levels against agreed target levels
  • Track inventory trends
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic team environment and providing positive feedback
  • Adhering to Multimatic’s quality-focused attitude and work culture

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of related experience in automotive manufacturing environment managing the smooth supply of material to production
  • Advanced spreadsheet skills
  • Computer literacy in MRP / ERP (SAP preferred) scheduling systems (including Excel, Word)
  • Kanban experience and Lean Manufacturing exposure
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to work effectively with minimal supervision required
  • Ability to work efficiently with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Team orientated, works well as a team member and is capable of taking direction from others
  • Forklift license would be an asset
