Position Overview:
Multimatic is a global automotive supply company providing hardware and engineering services to OEMs around the world.
Multimatic Niche Volume Assembly is looking for a Production Manager to increase company profitability by providing quality products to customers, meeting production requirements and maintaining a safe workplace.

Key Responsibilities:
- Co-ordinate and track product builds to ensure timely delivery to customer.
- Evaluate production capabilities.
- Conducts daily morning team meeting to communicate requirements to production staff
- Review drawings and tooling requirements for component manufacture and ensure adequate tooling is available at all times.
- Co-ordinate production and non-production stock liaising with purchasing to ensure enough stock for continuous building of product.
- Update MSDS sheets.
- Deal with quality and safety issues on assembly lines.
- Participate in process sign off & PPAP.
- Order new equipment for plant use.
- Co-ordinate delivery and installation of new equipment, ensuring H&S Risk Assessments are carried out before purchase and after delivery.
- Approve tooling/assembly.
- Schedule machines for plant use.
- Review, Implement and maintain preventative maintenance program.
- Delivery performance monitoring.
- Review Process Engineering Production and Maintenance budgets.
- Review manpower requirements.
- Responsible for plant housekeeping.
- Review customer quality concerns and resolutions in conjunction with QA Manager.
- Liaise with Program Management to provide feedback on product design and production feasibility issues.
- Prepare delivery-rating summary for management review.
- Receive releases and forward to the appropriate department.
- Completion of an appropriate blend of education and/or experience equalling a minimum of five years
Basic Requirements:
- Familiar with W.H.I.M.S./COSHH, QS9000, accident prevention, work place inspection and measuring equipment.
- Capable of organising and managing priorities, business equipment and problem solving techniques.
- Ability to interact with all levels of employees in a multicultural organisation and provide direction and leadership.
- Must possess good social and interpersonal communication skills.
- Familiar with an MRP system in an automotive manufacturing environment.
- Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft business products
- Must have understanding of manufacturing and logistics processes.
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
