Location: Multimatic Tennessee, Lewisburg, Tennessee, United States
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Places orders with vendors, completing required documents including purchase order requisition
• Tracks all orders that have been placed
• Completes return material authorization (RMA’s) on MRO items as needed
• Generates request for quotation (RFQ’s) and Purchase Orders (PO’s)
• Monitors supplier performance as measured by delivery, price and quality
• Meets cost savings objectives on purchased material
• Receives customer’s requirements electronically, by telephone, facsimile or mail. Analyzes requirement
• Accesses and monitors customers material tracking and rating programs when required
• Responsible for ensuring that the sales order entry functions are performed
• Responsible for ensuring that all raw material and purchased parts are requisitioned and delivery dates are established

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree or Technology Diploma in Business / Engineering or related field is preferred
- Preferred enrollment in or completion of Purchasing Managers program, American Purchasing Society, APICS
- 3 + years of buying/purchasing experience required
- Manufacturing experience required
- Tier One automotive metal stamping experience preferred
- Functional knowledge of SAP purchasing modules
- Advanced knowledge of MS-Excel
- Logical yet imaginative approach to problem solving
- Budget management expertise
- Customer focus and awareness
- Understanding of APQP/FMEA/SPC/MSA/PPAP and IATF-16949
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
