1. Position Overview:

Multimatic Anton is the original production facility of Multimatic Inc. and a leading supplier of hinges, door checks and innovative user-convenience products to the North American automotive industry. Multimatic Anton uses flexible production systems that allow rapid product changeovers, helping drive manufacturing efficiency.

Multimatic Anton is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer, The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for working with Suppliers to contain quality issues and improve overall supplier quality through Supplier Development Activities  Experience with SPC, MSA, Control Plans, FMEA, PPAP and ISO/IATF 16949 is required, Work is complex in character and requires strong analytical skills and a broad knowledge of all company products. Work is performed under little or no supervision. Performs other duties in support of Quality Department goals and objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• 1. When a supplier issue is identified the SQE will OWN the issue, from containing the problem at Anton to keeping the lines running and preventing the issue from escaping to the Customer location.
     • Contacts and follows up with suppliers to implement and verify corrective actions at Anton and supplier locations as per
     • Collects all data pertaining to quality issues on Anton DMN’s, including costs and all actions. Finalizes DMN costs and corrective actions, presents the same to quality manager for closure.
  2. Reporting and follows up with corrective action where identified.
  3. Maintains the Multimatic Anton DMN system as per
  4. Reviews Supplier PPAPs, follows up, obtains the necessary evidence to establish conformance to the various drawing and specification requirements, and approves once complete, as per
  5. Ongoing, daily review and disposition of Supplier related inventory in QA’s Quarantine location QU07.
  6. Work in a safe manner at all times
  7. Conforms to IATF 16949 / ISO 14001 standards / job instructions.
  8. Participate in DMN and Continuous Improvement Activities.
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.

• Education and Experience:
  

• 1. University / College Technical / ASQ degree or equivalant experience.
  2. Should be familiar with blueprint reading and tolerancing, with a complete understanding of SPC, PPAP process and problem solving methodology.
  3. Needs excellent interpersonal skills – dealing with suppliers and other departments in a multicultural environment, fluency in English is required.
  4. Must be able to travel, periodic North America, and potential Asian travel is required.
  5. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
  6. Knowledge of IATF 16949 / ISO 14001 standards
