Senior Finance Analyst

Multimatic Technical Centre Europe (MTCE) provides engineering and product development services to race teams and OEMs around the world. It is Multimatic's Centre of Excellence for the ongoing design, development and implementation of DSSV damping technology, and has established a strong relationship with key international motorsport organizations. MTCE is also a leading contract engineering and vehicle-development resource to major automotive OEMs and a growing number of niche vehicle manufacturers.

Position Summary:

Working with the finance team to create budgets/forecasts, building financial models, assisting with financial planning and preparation of month end accounts/reports. Our ideal candidate will be studying towards achieving their ACCA/CIMA qualifications. We require a candidate with at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role.

There are no direct supervisory responsibilities, but you will be expected to carry out leadership / project management responsibilities (dotted-line basis) over project team. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work; input into appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Some management responsibilities including training employees, analysing processes and advising on best practice. Also filling in during any periods of absence from Accounts supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Produce and develop a range of corporate reports including margin analysis and weekly liquidity plans.
  • Develop and maintain a KPI framework for the finance teams AP/AR functions
  • Develop a standardized template for reporting on the performance of key programs
  • Overheads, allocations and variance analysis
  • Prepare monthly management packs
  • Provide financial business partnering support for departments at various sites
  • Conduct monthly review meetings with department managers
  • Provide detailed management information to support decision making
  • Complete month end cost of sales entries and sales reconciliation to GL for a range of departments
  • Complete and maintain balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist Financial Controller with annual budget, quarterly reforecasting and audit preparation

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Studying ACCA or CIMA
  • Strong double entry accounts experience
  • Good Excel skills with computer literacy, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English
