Multimatic is a global automotive supply company providing hardware and engineering services to OEMs around the world. Its UK based engineering division, Multimatic Technical Centre Europe (MTCE), is a leading supplier of engineering and vehicle development services to major automotive OEMs and a growing number of niche vehicle manufacturers. Specialties include suspension systems, vehicle dynamics, carbon fibre structural components, mechanisms and Control Systems & Electronics.

Working Day:

Working to tight lead times you will thrive in a busy and ever changing workshop. No two days are the same and you will enjoy variety in your work.

Scope of Position:

Working in an assembly path performing specialized task using an Operator Guidance System in order to build hydraulic assemblies. Must adhere to safety guidelines and ensure that final products meet high-quality standards of the company and customer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble hydraulic components in accordance with the Operator Guidance System.
  • Test production hydraulic units.
  • Ensure build sign off paperwork is completed.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times.
  • Maintain work area and equipment
  • Make self-available to work extra hours to meet production deadlines.
  • Adopt and practice Kaizen Principles and Concepts.
  • Participate in Kaizen and GEAR activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience of a mechanical production line or similar.
  • GCSE 4 or above in, English, Mathematics and a technology subject i.e. Design technologies.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Windows.
  • Mechanical assembly experience is desirable.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.

What Multimatic can offer you:

Full time permanent position competitive pay rate depending on experience.

Working week 08:00 – 17:00 (42.5 hours per week) but flexibility is required to work occasional evenings and weekends when projects dictate.

25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays. 4 days given to be taken between Christmas and New Year
