HR Business Partner

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the General Manager, the Human Resources Business Partner serves as a tactical business partner for all CFT department managers and employee groups. This position will receive functional oversight and support by the the Group Director, Human Resources – Multimatic Engineering.

They will participate as a member of the wider UK Human Resources community at Multimatic. This position will partner with front line managers seeking guidance on a diverse range of topics. This role will help the business achieve their business goals by reinforcing CFT’s culture and focusing on building a high performance, talent-dense work environment.

The Human Resources Business Partner will be viewed as the human resources leader and expert in all functional areas with an emphasis on talent acquisition, leadership development, employee relations, employee engagement and succession planning.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES.

  • Partner with business leaders to forecast talent acquisition needs and develop a robust workforce plan. Develop and implement strategies for sourcing, attracting and retaining a talented and skilled workforce.
  • Lead talent activities with the ultimate outcome of an effective employee development and succession planning process through the identification and development of CFT’s great people
  • Lead and execute programs that builds and sustains a culture of positive employee relations, employee engagement and sense of belonging.
  • Research and identify strategic opportunities that position the Group’s compensation programs and practices as a competitive advantage. Provide compensation guidance, education and support for senior leaders and hiring managers.
  • Manage core compensation programs within CFT such as the annual wage and salary reviews and the annual bonus process; executes locally, Multimatic’s annual cycle global compensation programs and processes
  • Ensure regulatory compliance on all employment related matters within the CFT facility and ensure company policies are up to date, communicated and upheld consistently and fairly.
  • In conjunction with Multimatic’s program offerings, develop and oversee standardized and essential training
  • Partners with all managers in the development and implementation of employee communications plans and programs across teams,
  • Provide group and one-on-one coaching with business leaders to support leadership development, business decision-making and human resource management.
  • Develop Human Resources budget based on the business plan and the upcoming people initiative.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging trends and best practices in external environment in development of people strategies
  • Lead Employee Engagement activities including oversight of survey participation, employee engagement action planning process, and assists with focus groups and survey feedback as appropriate
  • Supports and adheres to policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to established quality management system (ISO 9001:2015).
  • Maintains working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.

MANAGERIAL / SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITES:

No current direct supervisory responsibilities, but may carry out leadership / project management responsibilities (dotted-line basis) over project teams. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and execution of key HR functions; input into appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems. It is possible that this position will gain employee oversight responsibility as organizational demands change.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or Business related degree preferred; professional HR designation in the UK
  • Currently operating at an HR Leader with responsibilities in talent acquisition, development and succession
  • Minimum of 5 years’ of experience in challenging and progressive HR generalist or business partner positions ideally with knowledge of manufacturing operations and environment.
  • Strong knowledge of UK labour law and experience in HSE and payroll functions
  •  Ability to travel locally and internationally on rare occasion
  • High energy and self-motivated; confident leading change
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong project management and presentation skills
