Multimatic Indiana - Butler is looking for an Quality Technician that will act as the principle liaison between the Quality and Manufacturing groups. Audit, enforce and train other associates on all aspects of the quality policy. Should be self-directed and work well with minimal supervision.

Duties:

  • Understand and be able to run parts through PC-DMIS Software package
  • Understand and be able to program CMM using CAD through PC-DMIS
  • Conduct destructive testing of the weld (draw cup) for correlation studies and as needed
  • Hold non-conforming materials (use inventory management)
  • Sort through non-conforming material as necessary to aid in disposition
  • Perform all capability studies and analyze process variances
  • Run interact with customer all PSO’s & PPAP’s
  • Run all extra testing required as part of validation process after quarantine
  • Problem solves (work with operations on shift to determine root cause of material on hold and make the appropriate changes to limit the amount of material placed on hold)
  • Perform control plan audits. Work with engineers to update as needed
  • Perform annual dimensional layouts per customer requirements and any additional as requested
  • Perform Process/Product and LPA Audits
  • Issue gages to production as necessary
  • Assist with or answer 8D assignments on customer rejects
  • Update ICP’s as needed for various programs as assigned
  • Ability to generate new form/work instructions/checksheets
  • Assist the Quality Manager and Quality Engineer as assigned
  • Ability to write Operator Instruction for new gages

Education:

A High School diploma or GED. Minimum two (2) years general or specific experience in this field. Previous metrology experience and CAD desired.  Occasional travel may be necessary, proper/legal personal documentation will be required.
