Position Overview:

Multimatic Niche Vehicle Assembly Europe (MNVAE), located in Coventry UK, is a world-class facility responsible for the production of future bespoke vehicles. MNVAE is currently seeking an Automotive Detailer to be part of a core team working on the assembly of bespoke niche vehicles. Reporting to a Senior Assembly Technician, and working with our existing paint technician., based in an exciting environment, you will be responsible for on-wheels preparation, paint correction, and finish detailing of complete vehicles.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare vehicle/vehicle parts for paint/coating using various preparation methods
  • Maintain paint prep tools including the spray facility
  • Mask appropriate areas to protect interior and exterior finishes as required
  • Inspect components during processing stages
  • Consult and resolve quality issues as they arise
  • Clean the interior and exterior of the vehicle
  • Wet-sand and polish components utilizing various buffing techniques and tools
  • Maintain polishing tools and materials
  • Follow work instructions and quality control processes
  • Follow all established safety procedures
  • Training will be provided as required

Education & Experience:

  • Experience in auto body finishing and detailing
  • Ability to interpret basic written instructions
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Experience in manufacturing environments in an asse
  • An understanding of composite components is advantagious
