Position Overview:

Located in Markham, Ontario, CanadaMultimatic Niche Vehicles North America (MNVNA) is part of the Multimatic Engineering Group, and is the new, world-class facility responsible for production of the 2017 Ford GT.

Multimatic Niche Vehicles North America (MNVNA) is seeking to recruit a Quality Engineer to maintain and continuously improve the company's quality system, ensure the timely flow of high-quality product from raw material to finished goods, as well as the proper handling of non-conforming material. This engineer will work with suppliers to review their PPAPs and DMNs (non-conforming reports and required corrective actions) and will work with company departments to improve company processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish and lead the implementation of a supplier development program for strategic and key suppliers in order to achieve and sustain high levels of supply chain performance
  • Assist suppliers in developing and implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement activities
  • Review/approve PPAP submissions and maintain documentation in an organized manner
  • Conduct supplier PPAP events
  • Ensure supplier corrective actions are effective, documented, implemented and closed in a timely manner
  • Analyze data and provide solutions/recommendations for product and process improvements
  • Coordinate third-party inspection team as required
  • Ensure that customer requirements are addressed. This includes selection of special characteristics, setting quality objectives and related training, corrective and preventive actions, product design and development interaction
  • Must comply with all ISO9001/TS16949, ISO 14001 (Environmental) and OHSA (Health and Safety) systems and standards

Education and Experience:

  • Mechanical Engineer or ASQC Quality Engineer certification
  • A Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in an automotive OEM quality environment
  • Working experience with Automotive Customer Specifics including AIAG requirements
  • Detailed knowledge of PPAP and Process Sign Off
  • Sound knowledge of Quality Management System, ISO9001/TS16949
  • In-depth blueprint reading, CAD data, and GD&T knowledge
