Tool Crib Attendant

Position Overview:
Multimatic Manufacturing is the original production facility of Multimatic Inc. and is a leading supplier of hinges, door checks and innovative user-convenience products (such as Multimatic’s StepGate™ or BoxSideStep™) to the North American automotive industry. Multimatic Mfg. uses flexible production systems that allow rapid product changeovers, helping drive manufacturing efficiency.
Multimatic Mfg. is seeking a Tool Crib Attendant who can maintain the Tool Crib, assist MRO Buyer and Maintenance Manager in performing clerical, purchasing, receiving of purchase orders, and research activities. Backup for MRO Buyer if needed. This person will monitor the accuracy of all inventory levels utilizing the cycle count program, and resolves all errors as required.

Key Responsibilities:

- To check and maintain inventory of tool crib components
- Keep track of what parts to order
- Update inventory in SAP
- Keep track of stock items on shelf and SAP
- Update information regarding prices and suppliers in SAP
- Enter new parts in SAP and categorize by location number, bin number and internal division part number.
- Place order for new parts by checking stock requirements and inventory.
- Work in a safe manner at all times
- Adopt and practice Kaizen Principles and Concepts
- Participate in Kaizen and GEAR activities
- Follow all general procedures where applicable as indicated in the GENERAL PROCEDURES section of the level III Procedure manual.
- Follow all DEPARTMENTAL GENERAL PROCEDURES as well as procedures for this position as indicated in the level III Procedure manual.
- Conform to IATF and ISO14001 standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Basic Requirements :
- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
- Knowledge of MRP system, MS Excel and MS Word would be an asset
- Ability to successfully interact with all levels of employees in a multicultural environment.
- Ability to read, write and speak English
