Press Packer - Night Shift
Location: Multimatic Inmet, Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada
Position Overview:
Multimatic Inmet manufactures fully engineered, high-quality components, assemblies and systems such as bumpers and chassis/body structural components for high-volume as well as niche vehicle manufacturers.
Multimatic Inmet is currently looking for a Press Packer – Nights who will be responsible for packing various stamping parts into bins/totes, while ensuring quality and production requirements are met.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Spot checks parts before packing.
- Separates damaged or scratched parts and puts them into a line accumulation bin.
- Must carry out quality control inspections on all stamped parts produced as per quality control inspection instructions
- Record all findings of inspections on inspection records Form
- Record steel tags and lot numbers on inspection records form
- Tag each container with a bar code label with Part No. Lot No. Quantity.
- Complete production reports and last off reports
- Assists in blank loading and some material handling duties
- Assist in die changes when they occour
- Separate line accumulation defects (between Vendor and/or Press Shop Defects). Tag as per DMN procedure
- Change lot code numbers (daily).
- Ensures presses, feeders and working areas are kept clean, tidy and safe at all times.
- Will work in a safe manner, and work in compliance with all legislative requirements of OHSA
- Perform any other reasonable assignment given by the supervision or management
- Work in compliance with IATF16949 and ISO14001 Standards
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- Post secondary education
- Excellent trouble shooting skills
- Ability to communicate well in English (written and oral)
- Press experience would be an asset
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Must be able to work night shift (10:30PM – 6:40AM)
- Flexible with hours as there will be occasional overtime
