Multimatic Inmet manufactures fully engineered, high-quality components, assemblies and systems such as bumpers and chassis/body structural components for high-volume vehicle manufacturers.

Position Overview:

Multimatic Inmet is currently looking for an Engineering Coordinator who will be responsible for assisting the Engineering department with a wide array of tasks, including, but not limited to the following:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain manufacturing bills of materials for all products, i.e. parent component relationship, part numbers, and quantity and ensure C2K flowcharts are in line with material process flow transaction.
  • Develop and maintain item masters, work centre master file, routings, and standard run and set up times, sub-contracted operations, and reporting points for back flushing for all products.
  • Support and participate in the ECN process, track and co-ordinate with Program Managers the proper timing of ECN's to ensure proper timing and production at required engineering level.
  • Prepare and maintain part-numbering system and assign part numbers to raw materials, components, subassemblies and assemblies as required, following the form-fit-function rules.
  • Support the Program managers with documentation, drawings, specifications, and materials throughout the company, including current, obsolete and in-process.
  • Maintenance and upkeep of revision logs of Level 3 and Forms.
  • Ensure proper tracking of all drawings, specifications and documentation being distributed and/or deemed obsolete.
  • Maintenance of electronic copies of systems, documents, drawings, specifications, computer database.
  • Archiving records/ documents and up keeping archive database.
  • Manage customer portals by uploading and downloading information pertaining to contracts, commitment dates, capacity studies, tooling invoicing and approvals, quote related information and bulletins.
  • Maintain internal commercial related documents, quotes and update as required.
  • Manage intercompany commercial aspects.
  • Generate monthly, quarterly and annual Quote Activity reports.
  • Support APQP with Piece Price and Tooling breakdowns.
  • Maintain Supply Base invoice tracking database.
  • Interact and regularly communicate with other departments in regards to commercial open issues
  • Perform any other reasonable assignment given by the supervision or management
  • Work in compliance with IATF16949 and ISO14001 standards
  • Will work in compliance with all legislative requirements of the OHSA

Basic Requirements:

  • Minimum (2) years’ experience in automotive production surroundings
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Post-secondary education in engineering, and or finance recommended
  • Strong knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Be able to communicate technical information (in English) well both written and spoken.
  • Ability to successfully interact with all levels of employees in the organization
  • Flexible with hours as there may be occasional overtime
