Position Overview

The Multimatic Mechanisms Group manufactures high-quality closure hardware systems for all vehicle applications. With facilities in North America and Europe, and representation in all major markets, the Multimatic Mechanisms Group is a world-class full service supplier providing stamped, profile, cast and forged hinge systems for all applications including door, hood, trunk, liftgate/decklid and sliding doors, as well as closure-checking, -assist and power devices.

Multimatic Anton requires a Release Analyst who will be responsible for maintaining an accurate and organized system pertaining to expediting incoming purchased parts, reporting on quote market assessments etc.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Expediting Incoming Purchased parts.
  • Coordinates Out-side Process parts to and from suppliers.
  • Issues supplier trouble reports and follows up on supplier corrective actions.
  • Issues new program Blanket PO’s.
  • Organizes and Documents premium freight.
  • Issues component releases to suppliers as required using MRP and EDI. 
  • Conducts periodical spot verification of inventory versus indicated quantities.
  • Participates in New Product launch and Engineering Change activities to support Flawless Launch results.
  • Purchase Order Amendment as changes become effective        .
  • Maintains effective supplier communications.
  • Continuously works toward part supply of 100% on time.
  • Continuously works toward 0$ premium freight.
  • Analyzes supply chain and recommends inventory optimization.
  • Responsible for purchase part inventory value.
  • Responsible for and works continuously toward 0$ obsolescence for purchase parts.
  • Creates cost effective trucking Schedules including “Milk Run” for U.S. component pick-ups.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times.
  • Adopt and practice Kaizen Principles and Concepts.
  • Participate in Kaizen and GEAR activities.
  • Follow all general procedures where applicable as indicated in the GENERAL PROCEDURES section of the Level II Procedure manual.
  • Follow all DEPARTMENTAL GENERAL PROCEDURES as well as procedures for this position as indicated in the Level III Procedure manual.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Work in compliance and conform to QS9000, IATF16949 and ISO14001 standards

Basic Requirements:

  • 3-5 years direct experience in vendor releasing in Tier 1 or 2
  • Prefer experience with a large variety of supplied products
  • Prefer experience with overseas suppliers
  • Computer experience with MRP, EDI, Excel. SAP an asset.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Related education preferred including CPIM, or Supply Chain Management,
  • Be able to interact with all levels of employees in a multicultural environment
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
