Accounts Payable Specialist

Position Overview:
Located in Markham, Ontario, Canada, Multimatic Niche Vehicles North America (MNVNA) is part of the Multimatic Engineering Group, and is the world-class facility responsible for production of the Ford GT supercar.
Multimatic Niche Vehicles North America (MNVNA) is seeking to recruit an Accounts Payable Specialist to perform day-to-day accounts payable functions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Processing a high volume of vendor invoices (involving data entry)
- Responsible for banking activities
- Processing vendor payments (EFT, wire transfers and cheques)
- Following up with vendors for payment issues
- Liaising with other departments for issue resolution (Receiving)
- Performing regular Aged Payables Reports and taking appropriate action
- Reconciling monthly with intercompany transactions
- Performing other accounting related duties, as required
Education, Skills & Experience
- College diploma in Accounting or University degree in Business or General Studies
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Accounts Payable (manufacturing environment is preferred)
- Strong knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office
- Highly motivated and results-oriented
- Ability to lead a project through team activities
- Detailed understanding of general custom manufacturing processes
- In-depth knowledge of computer systems
- Good communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization
- Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks
- Ability to make presentations in front of a group
- Discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
- Fast typer (30+ WPM)
