Electro-Mechanical Technician (Rotating Shift)

Position Overview:
Multimatic Manufacturing is the original production facility of Multimatic Inc. and is a leading supplier of hinges, door checks and innovative users convenience products (such as Multimatic’s Tailgate or Box Side Steps) to the North American automotive industry. Multimatic Mfg. uses flexible production systems that allow rapid product changeovers, helping drive manufacturing efficiency.
Multimatic Mfg. is looking for an Electro-Mechanical Technician (Rotating Shift) that can help maintain equipment used within the division. The successful candidate will be part of a team responsible for providing production departments with safe, well maintained equipment, while ensuring quality and the ability to meet production requirements in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities :
- To work within a team to repair & maintain automated assembly lines with stamping presses, robotic cells to meet customer requirements
- To be able to connect to program logic control’s and modify a line program and back-up assembly line programs
- To perform all electrical work on assembly lines, all plant equipment and associated lighting and new electrical installations meeting all codes and company procedures
- Responsible for completing necessary paper work including machine log books, PM Service records, time sheets and log board entries and revisions to electrical drawings
- To work within a team to complete electrical and mechanical tasks such as new panel builds, die wiring & sensor installations and vision system installations
- To participate in Multimatic Gear program, implementing at least six continuous improvement ideas on production equipment and processes
Qualifications
- Industrial electrician license or equivalent college certificate
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the automotive field
- ABB robotic experience an asset
